The app
Flowfile runs on your own machine or servers. Your data is not sent to us.
The app can send anonymous usage statistics. We use them to see how the platform is used and what to improve. This is off by default and requires opting in via a one-time dialog, or later under Settings → Preferences → Privacy. Docker deployments have it disabled by default. Flowfile Lite has no telemetry.
When enabled, events contain: the event name (app started, flow created, flow run started, succeeded or failed, feature first used, Alteryx workflow imported), a random install id, app version, platform, timestamp, and bucketed counts and durations. Node names and Alteryx tool names come from a fixed list of built-in names.
Not sent: data values, file names or paths, column names, SQL, formulas, flow or node names you typed, error messages, credentials.
Events go to a collector run by the maintainers. There is no third-party analytics SDK in the app. Opting out deletes the install id. Full event list and fields: telemetry reference.
